Emily Hall FdSc. MBACP Counselling

About Counselling…

Everyone needs to feel valued, understood and connected, and yet throughout life there can be times when we face challenges, struggles, or difficulties. These are the times when counselling can offer a safe and confidential place where you have the chance to share and explore your feelings.

I offer a calm, welcoming, and compassionate space where you will be listened to without judgement, and with empathy and understanding. Led by you, we can work together, using reflection and exploration to help develop and enhance your own unique strengths and create opportunities for growth and positive change.

Counselling can help you gain a sense of hope and direction as well as enhancing your own internal resilience. This can enable you to find the answers that are right for you. In this way the counselling process can guide you through times of difficulty toward a deeper understanding of yourself, your feelings, thoughts and behaviours. This can lead to a greater sense of meaning and fulfilment in life.

Training, Qualifications, & Experience

  • FdSc Counselling, Bath Spa University.
  • Level 2 Counselling Skills Certificate, UCW.
  • International Montessori Teaching Diploma.

I have experience working with a wide variety of people struggling with many different challenges including: anxiety, depression, low self-worth, addiction, loss, grief, bereavement, trauma, PTSD, flashbacks, relationship difficulties, loneliness, and childhood issues.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere strictly to their ethical code of practice.

I have worked as an Early Years teacher and Montessori teacher for over 15 years, and have significant experience in supporting children and their families through a wide range of difficulties and challenges. These experiences led to my interest in human emotional and social development and in how our behaviours are developed and affected by our experiences.

This also led to my belief and understanding that no matter what age or stage of development you are at, change and growth are always possible.
